Each week, we will be interviewing people who are truly inspiring. They come from all over the world, and have overcome obstacles that make life that much harder. Their stories are inspirational, and allow us to be grateful for what we have in life.
“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.”
This week we will be interviewing a man named James. Who has gone through some traumatic events in his life, some of which is seldom discussed. I am grateful for James gathering enough courage to tell his story.
Imagine visiting a country you have never been. You decide to stay with some friends, who turned out to be part of a crowd that were into things you were not. You decide to leave and stay with someone else. During your travels, you get lost, and end up in a bad part of the city. You get robbed of all your belongings. Scared, disoriented, shocked, and feeling exhausted you decide to get some rest at a nearby park. While resting, a man approaches you and asks if you need help. At that time, you decide to have the man drive you to the police station and report the person who robbed you. After the police take your report, and still having no where to go, no money, no food, and eating out of garbages. The man who drove you to the police station offers to take you in. Once you get to this man’s apt, your life changes forever. James went through a traumatic experience we never want to imagine.
After his nightmare ended, James was able to connect with others who offered help. Through these connections, James met his future wife. After spending some time with her, James discovered a medical condition his future wife was suffering from. Now imagine the movie “50 first dates” becoming your reality. Every day it was like dating your wife over and over again.
This mans story is very personal, and wishes to remain anonymous. His name has been changed, and his screen will be dark in order to maintain his anonymity.
Tune in tonight at 8pm CDT to hear his remarkable story.
This will be an On-Air Hangout.
